Open Water Diver
Becoming an SSI Open Water Diver is the best way to start your scuba adventure as it is recognised worldwide and because you will be allowed to dive until a depth of 18 meters always with a buddy, but without the need of being accompanied by an instructor.
We will take our time to train you making sure that you are truly comfortable underwater by providing you with the needed knowledge and skills and by explaining you everything about equipment you will use. We only work with small groups of students; this allows us to keep a very close touch with all of them.
An Open Water Diver course consists of 3 parts: Theoretical sessions in the classroom, Pool Training and Open Water Dives.
THEORETICAL SESSIONS:
The SSI Digital Training courses are designed so that you can learn the theory of diving at your own pace before the course starts. You can download and complete the handbook online on any device, and then come to BCN Diving and attend the knowledge group review.
POOL TRAINING:
As per the pool sessions your instructor will make sure your scuba equipment fits well so you feel comfortable in your new “second skin”. You will complete at least 2 pool dives, during which our instructors will teach all the basic skills to dive safely.
OPEN WATER SESSIONS:
Once you master the knowledge and the skills, you are ready to complete the course by doing at least 4 open water dives and finally having the chance to experience everything you learned in the pool hands-on. After the successful completion of your open water dives you will become a Certified Diver and will be able to dive the world! The SSI Open Water Diver certification is recognized worldwide so your diving experiences will be unlimited.
But this is just the beginning! With just a little more training, you can go even further. Imagine diving in underwater shipwrecks, with sharks, or becoming an underwater photographer! SSI Referral Diver: Finish your OWD Course with us
Have you started your Open Water Course in your country and want to finish it with us and dive in BArcelona and in Costa Brava?
If you have completed all the Knowledge review, the Exam and the Confined Water sessions, you can do 2 shore dives and 2 boat dives with us and get certified as an SSI Open Water Diver.
Price (1 or 2 people): 450€ per person
Price (3 or more people): 300€ per person
Prices include: 2 shore dives, 2 boat dives, full gear rental, transportation from our shop to the diving spots, diving insurance and SSI Open Water Diver digital certification.
*Date change Policy: date changes must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Changes made less than 48 hours in advance will be penalised.
*Cancellation Policy: There is no refund for cancellations. If you do not want to enjoy a contracted service, you can choose another service or product of equal value.
